3 Parts of Project (300 points total)
100 points for definitions (on class website)
100 points for designing working bridge under 300K
100 points for writing about your design process.
Submit bridge file and write-up on Google Classroom. Turn in definitions in brads of class folder.
*You may use a pier, arch abutments, cable anchorages or any support configuration you wish. The only restrictions are the height (24m) and that you do not use the truss templates they provide for you in step 5 of the design project setup wizard.
Grading Scale for 24 meter bridge:
Budget $450,000-474,999 = 65 D
$425,000-449,999 = 70 C
$400,000-424,999 = 75 C
$375,000-399,999 = 80 B

$325,000-349,999 = 90 A
$300,000-324,999 = 95 A
$275,000-299,999 = 100 A
$250,000-274,999 = 105 A+
*Once you have a working bridge that you would like to turn in, save your bridge file to the hard drive that is named "yourname". Upload to Google Classroom to turn in.

Extra Credit Opportunity- Once you have completed the WPBD and worksheet, research "West Point Bridge Designer Glitches". If you create a working bridge that does something "unreal" or "really neat" (i.e. the truck drives under water and then drives to the other side, the truck flips upside down, the bridge moves in a weird way) you will earn extra credit. There is no height requirement, or budget for the glitch bridge challenge. The only thing that is required is the truck travels all the way across the span. 100 extra credit points will be award to any new glitch bridges turned in using WPBD.
