Before you start your map, click on Window, Preferences, Template, and Select "Architectural Design -Feet and Inches" and click OK.
Map (Made in Google Sketchup): 400 points
Make sure you label everything! (click on Tools, Text when in Google Sketchup)
You must have 15 attractions drawn on the map. A bathroom and a parking lot do not count as an attraction! You may use 3D Warehouse to download rides, buildings, plants, etc. There are almost 500 models of roller coasters for free download on Google SketchUp. Your map should have walkways and items placed in between the models you downloaded.
Final project file should be uploaded to Google Drive and shared with [email protected]
Food/ Menu: 200 points
Every park has food vendors, and restaurants. Create a sample menu of the food offered at your park. You are creating a menu for a one of a kind restaurant, not a menu for a chain restaurant. You may use Adobe PageMaker, or Microsoft Publisher, Google Docs, or Google Slides to design your menu. Your menu must have 10 different items on the menu. For example: all drinks only count as one item, all types of hamburgers count as one item (burgers).
Your menu should look professional, with pictures, descriptions, prices and borders on the menu.
Make sure this is on your menu somewhere: "This menu created by your name" Final menu should be uploaded to Google Drive and shared with [email protected]
Report: 300 points
Type a report describing in detail all parts of your park. Your report should be at least 300 words in length, and written in correct format (DO NOT write all your information in one paragraph). Things to include in the report are as followed.
*Placement
Where is your park going to be? Please limit your choices to the United States.
*Attractions/Marketing
What is going to make people come to your park? Will you have a water park, a park filled with carnival rides, or something completely unique? How will you advertise your park? Will you have TV or radio commercials? Will you use coupons? Make sure to include the description of attractions and marketing in your report.
*Entertainment
Will your park have any shows (musical, aquatic, magic, etc.) or exhibits? If so, make sure to include the description in your report. If you choose not to have any other forms of entertainment, you must state why you do not have any in your report.
*Staff
Who is going to work at your theme park? Create a chart in your report, and list the position (ex. Ride operator, cook, janitor, manager, etc.), then list how many personnel are needed and the salary or hourly wage they are to earn.
*Cost
How much does it cost to go to this park? If you decide to have free admission, you need to have a list of how much each ride, and attraction will cost. Make sure to include the description of prices in your report.
